Our Bristol meeting

I’ve been in a few different networking groups over the 20 years I’ve been running my own business and Women Mean Business is the best. The Bath group has a wonderful energy due to the leaders and other members and I’ve used several members within the network to help support my own business such as photographers, graphic designers and more. I recommend coming as a visitor and seeing what you think.

Women Mean Biz is a welcoming, supportive and uplifting community - I’ve made amazing connections, friends and colleagues in my years as a member.

The North Somerset Women Mean Biz group is one of the best networking groups I have ever been a part of. The atmosphere of every meeting is warm, welcoming and supportive. Since joining the group I have made some amazing business connections (as well as great friendships), and most of my clients and referrals now come from WMB. The meetings are also a great source of advice and support, and I come away from every meeting feeling like I have learnt something new that I can apply to my business or my life!

I’ve built some beautiful connections and friendships here in WMB Bath for which I’m immensely grateful, especially as a foreigner. I’ve also found a few key service providers who are now supporting me, and I hope to continue growing with them on my business journey. The group has been invaluable to me in many ways, helping me find both community and practical support. Over the past few years, I’ve gone through a major transformation in my career and have been focused on finding my footing here in the UK. It’s been a stretch at times, and I haven’t yet had the chance to put all my marketing materials in place. However, I’ve met some wonderful women in business and I plan to work with them in the next year which I’m very excited about. The Bath group is really special and I know I will be back soon! At times I feel that WMB is a special corner that I want to reserve just for myself, but the world needs nurturing, thus I have to let you have my words. Please spread the word!

I was a member of Women Mean Biz for about a year between 2016-2017 but had to leave due to illness. I re-joined the Cheltenham group in May 2023 and I was so happy to be back (and to see several familiar faces from my earlier membership!). Women Mean Biz is about supporting each other, learning together, and growing friendships along with growing our businesses. I’ve met some of my closest business friends through Women Mean Biz and I’m so glad to have them in my world for when those inevitable bumps in the road come along! I’d recommend WMB to anyone looking for a more collaborative approach to networking.

I have been a member of Women Mean Biz since March 2018 and I joined the same week as my business was launched. From the very first meeting I felt welcomed and like I was already part of the community. I was so nervous as I am very introverted but everyone at the meeting helped to put me at ease and I left knowing that this was the network for me! I also had a sense of pride that I had stepped out of my comfort zone! Now the majority of my work comes from Women Mean Biz and I am so grateful to have also benefited from the support of members in many other ways and made some wonderful friends along the way!
