Join your first meeting

Not at all. Come as you feel comfortable — there’s no need to dress up or be overly formal. WMB is about meeting the real you, so whether that means jeans, a dress or your usual workwear, you’ll fit right in.

There is a cost to attend any of our in-person meetings which is £30+VAT and this pays for the lunch and the meeting. When you book, you will be asked to pay by a one off direct debit, or debit or credit card plus other payment options.

You’re welcome to visit up to two meetings before deciding whether membership is right for you. Some guests know after their first meeting, while others prefer to experience a second meeting or try another WMB location before making their decision.

No — and that’s very intentional. We believe there can be huge value in connecting with people working in the same or similar industries. Rather than encouraging competition, WMB is built around collaboration, shared opportunities and discovering ways we can support one another.

This philosophy is particularly evident in WMB’s Power Groups, which intentionally bring together members working within similar industries to collaborate.

Our team takes the time to help members make the right connections, build their networking confidence and get more from being part of the community.

Of course! We know walking into a networking meeting for the first time can feel scary. Our Hosts will be there to welcome you, help you settle in and make sure you know what’s happening, so you’re never left standing around wondering what to do next. You don’t need to be a confident networker to feel at home at WMB.

Nothing complicated! It’s worth thinking about how you’d like to introduce yourself and your business, but you don’t need a perfectly polished pitch. Come ready to tell us a little about what you do, listen, ask questions and get to know the people around you.

And if talking about your business confidently is something you’d like help with, that’s something WMB actively supports members to develop.

Power Groups are just for our members, so you’ll need to become a WMB member before attending. They’re one of the brilliant additional benefits of membership, bringing together people from similar industries across Women Mean Biz and We Mean Biz for deeper conversations, collaboration and shared opportunities.
