Our Story

The support I’ve received since joining the WMB has been amazing, everyone is willing to share any business tips they have and are so open to chat and everyone wants to help each other. It’s a great tight group of like minded business women!

I absolutely love WMB! The monthly meetings keep me accountable and on track. They're friendly, inspiring and always full of support. I come away buzzing, motivated and with new ideas. I've made lifelong friends and brilliant business contacts. I can't imagine running my business without being in the WMB network.

I joined Women Mean Biz almost 3 years ago and it has been a wholly positive experience. The network is such a friendly and inspiring environment and I have built confidence in speaking about my business and grown my business and leadership skills. I have also made genuine friendships. I'm a solopreneur working from home and the monthly lunch meetings give me connection, inspiration and support, while the workshops have broadened and deepened my skills in business. I have met many talented women, some of whom I have worked with to receive massage, personal training, animal communication, web design and more, as well as improve my skills in public speaking and marketing. I love connecting people, it's one of my gifts, so I feel in exactly the right place in this network of women uplifting each other. I am very grateful to Philippa Constable and the women in the WMB network.

I am delighted to be able to be involved with & regularly attend the Legal and Financial Power Groups. Meeting once every quarter, the power group gives me the opportunity to connect with the members of the network involved in my specific industry and related sectors. This gives me a chance to ‘chew the fat’ over specific topics which impact the sectors and brainstorm how to overcome challenges. Whilst there are people from the same field or industry, the focus is very much around collaboration rather than competition, so there isn’t that sense of guardedness that might otherwise exist when speaking with colleagues in the same field. The supportiveness of the network, first and foremost, allows us to lean in not just for help ourselves, but also to help others. A further plus for me is the ability to refer out to other trusted colleagues within the network, in different areas within the sector; people that I can match to my client base – knowing that they are the perfect fit to look after my people; and likewise to be able to offer help to others as well. I look forward to the power groups as they offer me a chance to catch up with and pick the brains of the breadth of expertise of the industry/sector within the wider network.

The North Somerset Women Mean Biz group is one of the best networking groups I have ever been a part of. The atmosphere of every meeting is warm, welcoming and supportive. Since joining the group I have made some amazing business connections (as well as great friendships), and most of my clients and referrals now come from WMB. The meetings are also a great source of advice and support, and I come away from every meeting feeling like I have learnt something new that I can apply to my business or my life!
