Our Story

I chose this networking group in part because they meet in person. And what a welcoming and supportive group they are. The knowledge and expertise around the table is tremendous and they all share, willingly. Add to that some excellent guest speakers. I never fail to learn something new. I never regret attending - they pick you up when you are down and celebrate with you in the wins. When I joined I was new to Cheltenham and it's been great to have this group in my corner.

I have found the online network meetings a real lifeline for my business. 

Being a solo parent during the week and being self-employed means that time is extremely precious, so being able to participate in networking without being disadvantaged is invaluable.  I have been able to meet other professionals who live and work a fair distance away, which in person would have been extremely difficult to do. 

The online networking experience has been extremely beneficial in terms of timings, accessibility, inclusion, and providing opportunities that I don't think I would have got with another in person network.


The North Somerset Women Mean Biz group is one of the best networking groups I have ever been a part of. The atmosphere of every meeting is warm, welcoming and supportive. Since joining the group I have made some amazing business connections (as well as great friendships), and most of my clients and referrals now come from WMB. The meetings are also a great source of advice and support, and I come away from every meeting feeling like I have learnt something new that I can apply to my business or my life!

The WMB Online groups are really friendly and I always come out of the meetings feeling uplifted and positive about my business.

I have been a member of Women Mean Biz since March 2018 and I joined the same week as my business was launched. From the very first meeting I felt welcomed and like I was already part of the community. I was so nervous as I am very introverted but everyone at the meeting helped to put me at ease and I left knowing that this was the network for me! I also had a sense of pride that I had stepped out of my comfort zone! Now the majority of my work comes from Women Mean Biz and I am so grateful to have also benefited from the support of members in many other ways and made some wonderful friends along the way!
